The Dominion Trail PTA is excited to offer an after school enrichment program for its students! We have three exciting sessions planned - Fall, Winter and Spring - with lots of great classes to choose from in each one. On this site you'll find all the information about program procedures, class descriptions and details you need to participate. Whether you are looking for sports, drama, arts and crafts, technology, science or hobbies, there's something here for everyone. Transition from school to enrichment programs:

Students will be dismissed to the Gym where enrichment Instructors will pick-up their class participants at 2:45 pm. Instructors must be in the gym no later than 2:45 pm where they will manually take attendance and then escort students to their assigned location. Instructors are required to bring paper rosters to each class.

Boys' Running Club, DTES PTA

This running club is for any boy in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade that is interested in getting fit while playing games and having fun! We will meet once a week and will culminate in running a 5k. Each week, we will focus on a guiding principle or characteristic that is vital to being a confident runner and important for leading a healthy lifestyle.

KidzArt, KidzArt

Whether your child is a budding Michelangelo or is still drawing stick figures, KidzArt will give them the skills and confidence to create artwork they are proud of. The KidzArt method of drawing instruction allows your child to learn many artist tricks and develop their own creativity. KidzArt is an extraordinary drawing program that introduces children to concepts such as proportion, perspective, dimension and shading. Starting with a blank canvas, the students will create a masterpiece to take home after every class. They learn to focus and break down complex drawings into individual components. You will be amazed at what your child comes home with each week! The young artists are exposed to a wide variety of mediums which may include oil and chalk pastels, watercolors, charcoal, vibrant markers, and clay. New curriculum in every session. KidzArt builds self-confidence, problem-solving skills and creativity in a fun non-competitive atmosphere. Artist quality supplies included.

FUNdamentals of Basketball, Dominion Trail PTA

We will spend the first half of class working on basic fundamentals and the second half playing different basketball games including 1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5. This class will be taught by former college player and Seton Hill University Hall of Fame Inductee Gina Lindenfeldar. She brings 10+ years of basketball coaching experience. Graphic Design, Stem exCEL

Graphic Design will teach students to think about art in a pragmatic way so they may consider every aspect of the composition to create stronger pieces. Students will learn about typography, branding, positive/negative spacing, color theory, orientation, contrast and eye movement to create art with the user in mind. Our instructors will inspire and advise students to utilize these professional techniques in a fun and creative way, to create great works students will bring home with them at the end of the course.

Chess, Silver Knights Enrichment

Learn chess from a Silver Knights chess coach! State and national champions have come from our programs, but most of our students are just looking to have fun! Class time is split between lesson and play. Lessons range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies, depending on the student's skill level. Play time is structured to pair each student against an opponent of similar skill. All grades and skill levels are welcome. Silver Knights will supply all the equipment during chess club. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments.

DTES Roving Reporters, DTES PTA

Would you like to help out our Morning Announcements at DTES? Then this is program for you. You will learn how to create short videos, interview teachers, and share news that will broadcast LIVE on our DTES Morning Show. You will learn how to use IMovie and Google Spark to create, edit, and share the videos with our Broadcast team. Each week we will work on different projects that will allow for creativity to flourish! Hope you can join us!


Breathe in, breathe out. This class will explore yoga basics and teach your student a fun way to excercise their body and calm their mind. Taught by 200-YTT, Laura Martancik. Please bring a mat or beach towel to the first class.

Cheer Fit, Cheer Fit

Cheer Fit, led by Amy Sergi, will be holding a CHEERLEADING session this session. The cheerleading routine will consist of tumbling, stunting, jumping, dancing, and much, much, more! At the end of the session we will have a cheerleading show where the parents can come watch what their child has learned in the class. 

No-Bake Cooking Class, Dominion Trail PTA

A fun class to create kid-friendly no-bake treats! This class is for students of all ages who want to help out with cooking at home. We will make all different snacks, appetizers, lunches and desserts! We will be allergy aware and work around any specific food sensitivities that your child may have.

Tennis, USTA TGA Tennis Loudoun

The United States Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic Section (USTA MAS) proudly presents TGA Premier Youth Tennis, the first and only national tennis enrichment program in the country. Students will develop tennis skills utilizing kid-friendly equipment in a play-to-learn style that gets them rallying and having fun right away. In addition, students will learn relevant character development and STEM skills such as sportsmanship, respect, math, science, technology, and more. Elementary school programs include a five-level progression system. All first time students receive a wristband, a hat, and a student handbook. Program is taught by USTA-trained and background-screened coaches utilizing the most current teaching methodology. All tennis equipment is provided (e.g. racquets, balls, pop up nets).

Pottery Class, Mudskippers Pottery

Let Mudskippers Pottery bring the mud to your school! We are a family run professional studio that specializes in PTA sponsored after school ceramics education. Our instructors will expand students' knowledge and creativity. Each project is grounded in an historical artwork, submersing students in history and culture. Students will hone their fine motor skills through hand building and glazing pottery while expressing their unique personal vision. The 3D medium will teach them to use problem solving skills to address form and structure. Mudskippers Pottery will bring their convenient mobile studio to your school with all the advantages of a professional studio.
