SPRING ENRICHMENT CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

3D Game Design - Stem exCEL (Grades 3-6) Tuesdays

3D Printing is a premiere class that not only teaches students how to create 3D models from an artistic standpoint, but also teaches them from an engineering standpoint. Because the models will be printed, our instructors teach students what to consider in the construction of the model to produce the best-quality print. Students will observe a 3D Printer during each lesson to learn proper 3D printing standards and processes, all while creating their own models that will be printed for them. The course ends with students taking home their own accounts so they may continue modeling at home, along with at least 4 model prints they designed themselves during their time with us.

Double Play: Big Swing Wiffleball & Soccer - Overtime Athletics (K-6) Tuesdays

Come join Double-Play! This is a combination class of Wiffleball and Soccer that will be alternated each week to keep the class fresh, exciting and new!

Wiffleball : This program isn't baseball - it's better! Everyone gets hits and no one strikes out in this version of America's favorite pastime. The fundamentals of throwing, catching and hitting are taught through games like Soft Toss, Base Runners, Home Run Derby and 500 Flies. Both new and seasoned players will love getting BIG hits with our favorite game, Tennis-Racquet Baseball. It's wiffle ball with a racquet! No real baseball equipment is used to ensure a safe playing environment.

Soccer : Take your game to the next level! Coaches will teach you skills like dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting and defense. This program emphasizes fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Cheer Stars - Adrenaline Dance Force (K-6) Wednesdays

Our ADF Cheer class is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of cheerleading! We will work on motion and jump technique, stunting, cheer dances and more! Our Cheer Coaches are current and former college and professional level cheerleaders with a passion to teach! Class will focus on exercises to improve strength, showmanship and execution technique in a positive, team environment. We will conclude with a showcase for parents and friends at the end of the session!

Superhero Engineering Using LEGO Materials - Play-well TEKnologies (K-3) Wednesdays

Save the world with Super Heroes! Build the hideouts and vehicles of your favorite caped crusaders and learn what makes them not only Super Heroes, but Super Hero Engineers! An experienced Play-Well instructor guides young heroes as they design, build, and save a city where ingenuity and imagination can solve any conflict.

Cooking - iCook After School (K-6) Thursdays

iCook is a really fun, hands-on after-school cooking program for children. Our mission is simple: to help teach children to love everything about food, cooking, eating delicious and healthful dishes, learning about different cultures and stories behind the food.

Our chefs-in-training will learn how to make a variety of healthy, delicious and fun seasonal recipes. We will learn about herbs, spices and how they add flavor and aroma to the dishes. Our little chefs will "travel" to new countries and learn about their cuisines and cultures. We will master cooking safety, slicing, dicing, chopping, folding, baking, zesting, mixing and more.

Kids on Canvas - Abrakadoodle (K-6) Thursdays

Grab a paintbrush and jump right in for a colorful Kids on Canvas adventure! Use acrylic paint to explore painting subjects such as the figure, landscape and still life - with a fresh Abrakadoodle twist! We use our imaginations and inspiration from a different artist each week to create with paint in a variety of ways!
