About Silverbrook Elementary

Silverbrook Elementary is excited to offer an after school enrichment program for its students! We have three exciting sessions planned - Fall, Winter and Spring- with lots of great classes to choose from in each one. On this site you'll find all the information about program procedures, class descriptions and details you need to participate. Whether you are looking for sports, drama, arts and crafts, technology, science or hobbies, there's something here for everyone. Transition from school to enrichment program:

Children 1st-6th will be dismissed to your assigned room, unescorted. The Parent Volunteer will pick up all the kindergarten, as well as ASE students, from Extended Day and escort them to their class location.


 Winter Registration is open December 9, 7:00 AM - December 20, 11:59 PM


Winter Enrichment Class Descriptions

Funky Forces - Mad Science $120 (K-3)

Through the course of Funky Forces and more, children will play engineer, chemist—and stunt pilot! Children will investigate physics fundamentals and bring their scientific minds to basic magic tricks. Your Mad Scientists will be shocked by what they learn about electricity, blown away by their experiments with air pressure,and swept away by the excitement of working with waves!

"Glee Club" Musical Theatre - Acting for Young People $93 (3-6)

This program provides students with an opportunity to showcase singing skills in a fun, casual environment. Students will learn 3-4 songs in a variety of genres from today’s pop songs, Disney, Broadway, and the golden oldies. They will also learn simple choreography to go with each song, culminating in a presentation for parents during the last class. No prior singing or dancing experience is necessary.

Digital Animation: Art & Adventure - Silver Knights $181 (2-6)

In this unit, kids will create their own art, animations and adventures by using all of the Scratch 3 digital tools to make fractured fairy tales, choose-your-own adventure stories, and quiz games. Use the Silver Knights curriculum to learn how to code and then take it to the next level with art and animated add-ons, avatars and end credits. What’s your story?

Snack Attack - Tiny Chefs $206 (K-6)

Students will push the limits on the snack concept and prepare a variety of wholesome, delicious, and unique nibbles. This is not your mother’s PB&J! Chefs will prepare a variety of bite-sized munchies like chicken salad cups, homemade granola bars, veggie nachos, roasted red pepper hummus with homemade pita chips, and more. No one will go hungry this session!

Jedi Engineering Using Lego Materials - Play Well TEKnologies $147 (K-3)

The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects such as LEGO® X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

Basketball Academy - Love the Ball Sports $122 (3-6)

The Love the Ball basketball academy will take your game to the next level. All players will have a basketball at all times which will drastically improve their fundamentals while we play games like king of the court, knockout and farmers and foxes. Advanced skills will also be taught like free throw shooting, crossovers and much more.

Nasa: Academy of Future Explorers - Mad Science $138 (3-6)

Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring the excitement and wonder of space down to earth in the NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers after school program. This is your chance to explore the farthest reaches of our solar system! Become a rocket scientist as you build your very own model rocket and discover the science behind space travel as you watch it blast off. Experience how it feels to work in space as you and your crew team up to build a model space station. Take home projects include Skyblazer II Rocket, Shuttle Copter, Lightning Launcher, Keplers Cube, Cosmic Chronometer and more!

Tennis 1-2-3 - Top Notch Tennis $182 (K-6)

Topnotch Tennis' Tennis 1-2-3 enrichment programs make tennis a convenient option by bringing our program to the places your children already spend their time: schools, community centers, parks & recreation facilities, childcare centers and more. Our curriculum was developed to emphasize a healthy balance of convenient learning and fun! Classes are conducted before or after school and our station-based format keeps students engaged and active as they learn. Our curriculum helps with the transition of students going from their schools to programs on the tennis court and match play. We promote tennis as a vehicle for teaching educational concepts and life lessons such as: sportsmanship, positive attitude, respect, work ethic, honesty, and perseverance. More Than Tennis! Pottery - Mudskippers $209 (K-6)

Let Mudskippers Pottery bring the mud to your school! We are a family run professional studio that specializes in PTA sponsored after school ceramics education. Our instructors will expand students' knowledge and creativity. Each project is grounded in an historical artwork, submersing students in history and culture. Students will hone their fine motor skills through hand building and glazing pottery while expressing their unique personal vision. The 3D medium will teach them to use problem solving skills to address form and structure. Mudskippers Pottery will bring their convenient mobile studio to your school with all the advantages of a professional studio.
