The Little Bennett PTA is excited to offer an after school enrichment program for its students! We have three exciting sessions planned - Fall, Winter and Spring - with lots of great classes to choose from in each one. On this site you'll find all the information about program procedures, class descriptions and details you need to participate. Whether you are looking for sports, drama, arts and crafts, technology, science or hobbies, there's something here for everyone. Please click on “View all Courses” button below during Open Registration to register. So go exploring and see what you want to learn!

Transition from school to enrichment programs:

If a student's class is held inside the school, Instructors will proceed to their assigned classroom. Students will be dismissed to their instructor's classroom during end of day announcements. Students who participate in KIDSCO will check in with a staff KIDSCO Staff Member before proceeding to their enrichment class location. If a instructor's class is held outside, Instructors will arrive at 3:25 pm for the first 2 weeks of the class to pick up the kindergarten students from their classrooms and escort them to the back gym door so that they are familiar with the dismissal process moving forward. Instructors will meet all other students (1st-5th grades) at the back gym door (by the playground entrance). A PTA Volunteer may be on-site to assist with transitions, if available.

Winter Registration is open December 5 12:00 PM until December 20 11:59 PM

WINTER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cooking - iCook After School $185 (K-5)

iCook is a really fun, hands-on after-school cooking program for children. Our mission is simple: to help teach children to love everything about food cooking, eating delicious and healthful dishes, learning about different cultures and stories behind the food. Our chefs-in-training will learn how to make a variety of healthy, delicious and fun seasonal recipes. We will learn about herbs, spices and how they add flavor and aroma to the dishes. Our little chefs will "travel" to new countries and learn about their cuisines and cultures. We will master cooking safety, slicing, dicing, chopping, folding, baking, zesting, mixing and more. Winter session will have new recipes!

Hip Hop Dance *Fortnite Edition* - Message in Motion $146 (K-5)

Fortnite is a popular video game, but did you know there are more than *100* Fornite dances?! In this hip hop dance class we will not only be introducing hip hop dance basics and core technique including footwork, floorwork (breakdancing), popping and locking, and freezes, but the primary emphasis will be on fortnite dances and learning as many of them as we can throughout the session! Students will dance to the actual beats from the game that have made it popular, as well as some of the contemporary beats that it is closely associated with. Students will have a blast mastering their Fortnite dance skills and have fun dancing with their peers in this high energy class.

Robotics: Busybots - Silver Knights $190 (1-5)

Silver Knights Robotics uses LEGO® WeDo 2.0 in our enrichment classes. Each session includes different projects so material doesn’t repeat. In our BusyBots unit, kids will examine bots that are taking care of business. Most robots are designed to do a job and the bots in this unit all have work to do! Build a machine to test how earthquake-proof a structure is; build a gondola lift and a farm harvester. We’ll even build a fishing pole because sometimes you need a break from work!

Awesome Artists - Kids Create $127 (K-5)

This fun and colorful program offers a wide variety of different Arts & Crafts projects to last the entire school year! Kids will engage in exciting art projects each week, exploring different materials, art mediums and techniques.

Beginner Ensemble (Piano, Guitar, Violin & Drums) - Learn Now Music $178 (K-5)
