Silver Knights Tournament Training
In Tournament Training, every week students play a game against a player close to their skill level. The game is then analyzed in a group setting with a highly-rated chess coach and peers. It's a great next step for students who really love chess club!
Beginning tournament players learn how to take chess notation, play with a clock, and the value of game analysis. Intermediate and advanced players get serious games against tough opposition and analysis from master-level coaches.
Every week, Silver Knights teaches more than 6,000 children to play chess, build LEGO® robots, and write computer code. We teach in more than 250 schools and employ more than 200 amazing instructors.
"Both of my boys and myself enjoyed the LEGO robotics club. The builds were challenging but not too hard. The instructor was great at explaining techniques and encouraged the children when needed. He helped the children without building if for them. We would love to do it again!'"
"Chess Club has been a wonderful experience for my 7 year old son. When he started the chess, no one in our family knew how to play. My son was so enthusiastic to share what he learned, that his excitement rubbed off on the rest of the family. My son was able to teach the family and it is now a regular family evening event. The Chess Club kept him captivated and motivated to learn new moves and improve his game. He loved his experience so much that he enrolled in the next session. Thanks for teaching him this great life skill and keeping it fun and engaging!"
“My son came home and has not been able to STOP doing Scratch! When I picked him up he said 'MOM! I'm good at it!" So sweet!!! His brother is doing Scratch now. Thanks for inspiring them.'"
